LOCATION HISTORY:

Couple murdered, daughter kidnapped; suspect gives up...

Pocono Lake — A violent felon accused of murdering his brother-in-law and his brother-in-law's wife in Pocono Lake Saturday night is being held without bail in Monroe County Correctional Facility.

Names are being withheld for privacy. As reference, I will use the names Sharon, and Jim .

Sharon was the deceased couples niece and Jim a relative through marriage.

CHIPS was contacted due to the constant activity in the home and fear of the unknown . Given the history of the house and the energy from past events, Sharon needed answers.

This home has had it's share of notoriety and the family has had their share of grief, a very sad story to say the least!

A double homicide took place in the home on a warm April night in 2003 . The family living in the house consisted of a mother, father and two young female children.

The parents were shot to death in their home while the two younger children watched. The killer fled and was later arrested and charged. The two children of the murder victims now live withother family members.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by neighbors and local businesses. The residents at the time of the activity of this investigation were related to the deceased family. After the tragedies occurred the house was partially renovated.

Sharon and Jim have lived in the house for two years at this point., that was when the activity began. Sharon and Jim report seeing a woman sitting at the foot of the stairs. She sees shadows in white, and the man in the small child's bedroom. Jim describes what he thought were bright lights floating around the master bedroom at 3:30am. He did refer to them as flying orbs. Footsteps were always heard around the house. The family cat would sit on the bedroom dresser looking into mid air and acting like she was swatting something with her paws. Sharon describes the episode saying, "It was as if a person was holding cat nip in front of her and she was trying to get it." A person is always seen walking down the stairs to the kitchen. Sharon describes waking up one morning without underwear. They had been taken off of her during the night while she was sleeping. She was not aware of this untill she woke up. She has no recall of this during the night. Jim also knew nothing of the event while it was happening. The closet door or cubby in the child's room was opening by itself after it was closed. The door is tight and actually has to be pushed to close it

Sharon tells us of a toy phone with a battery that goes off only at night. Her daughter is not in the room when this happens. Jim states it is a very old phone and the battery has never been replaced.

Jim has experienced paranormal activity most of his life, he had a near death experience when he was younger. His family members were very intuitive. Dreams were common where Jim would see future happenings. He describes having seen relatives that have crossed over a number of times. He has been susceptible to this type of phenomenon for a very long time.

PHENOMENON EXPERIENCED:

CHILD'S BEDROOM:
We did get very high EMF readings in the child's bedroom near the dresser where her uncle was shot. The needle on the EMF Detector pinned for a few minutes and there was a 10-20 degree drop in temperature near the child's bed. The child's deceased Uncle has been seen on numerous occasions near her dresser. The child's bedroom is where he was fatally shot and found.

STAIRS LEADING TO THE BEDROOMS:
This is where Sharon sees her deceased aunt going up and down the stairs. Her body was found at the bottom of the stairs. No photos or EVP's were obtained during our investigation.

MASTER BEDROOM:
Jim sees and feels a lot of activity in this room. This is also the room where Sharon's clothes were removed while she was sleeping.

PLAYROOM:
This was a very active room. Both Laura and I had an uneasy feeling in this room. Laura's camera would not work in the room but was fine as soon as she would walk out. We felt like there was someone watching us. There was a child's toy phone among other toys in a basket. Every time Laura and I would ask if there was anyone here, the phone would make a series of sounds. When we would ask if they are trying to talk to us, the phone would dial numbers and sound like a medley of beeps. We kept talking and asking questions around the phone and we kept getting different sounds. Sharon stated, "the phone has not done this for the last two weeks." The phone seemed to respond only when we asked a question. Any other time, the child had to turn the phone on to play. This phone was off!!.

When I walked out of the room the phone would sound again. At one point, the phone said "hello." Sharon stated this has never happened in all the time she had the phone. When I walked back in the room ithe phone would continue to make a series of sounds.

Laura was able to capture a few photos when her camera did work. EMF readings 9 -10 mg. with cold spots around the toy box.

Upon completion of our investigation a day or so later, we received a call from Sharon. She told us the phone disappeared and she cannot find it anywhere.. She searched the home and the phone did not turn up. The child living in the house was too young at the time to walk, so she knows it was not misplaced. Strange, but true!

SUMMARY:

We reviewed the evidence at length, we were able to present the EVP of the talking phone, and very high EMF readings in the child's bedroom. One photo from the child's bedroom exhibited a light anomaly,. We did explain to Sharon and Jim that the toy phone is just that a toy and it is not proof of paranormal activity. Although it did respond on command, it is not a normal occurrence, this is still very questionable. We personally will not put too much stock in the toy phone. We did agree the other evidence in this room can be labeled paranormal. All our equipment did confirm paranormal activity at this time.

We did explain the activity taking place is the child's bedroom was not normal. All our equipment did verify there was a presence at the same time we were there.

We also explained that limited findings in other rooms had no baring on the investigation since so much occurred in the child's room and play room. We did explain to them that we did not believe there was anyone there that was going to hurt them. Our opinion is that this location is haunted. We thanked them for having us there and made it clear that we are always available to them.

Note:
Since our investigation there have been 3 different families living in the house.All three have since moved out due to unexplained happenings.They are in constant contact with Sharon and they all describe to her what seems to be the same activity!
